Using an existing account

To use this feature, you may be required to update the system software.

Set this option when you want to use an existing PlayStation®Network account, such as an account that was created on a PC or a PS3™ system, or an account such as a sub account that was created by the master account holder.

Using PlayStation®Network on the PSP™ system for the first time

1.

Select (Sign Up for PlayStation®Network) under (PlayStation®Network).

2.

From the screen that is displayed, select [Use an Existing Account].
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

Changing the account associated with the PSP™ system

You can use only one PlayStation®Network account on a PSP™ system. If you want to use a different account, you need to first delete the association between the system and the account currently in use. Then you can select the account that you want to use.

1.

Select (Account Management) under (PlayStation®Network), and then press the triangle button.

2.

Select [Delete Account] from the options menu.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

3.

Select (Sign Up for PlayStation®Network) under (PlayStation®Network).

4.

On the screen that is displayed, select [Use an Existing Account].
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

Hint

If you select the [Delete Account] option, the association between the system and the PlayStation®Network account will be deleted. The PlayStation®Network account itself will not be deleted and will still be registered on the PlayStation®Network server. You can continue using that account on a PS3™ system, a different PSP™ system or a PC.
