Bug: Horizontal vs Vertical pane mismatch

Description

The horizontal pane is in fact a vertical pane and viceversa.

The names should be reversed.

I see where you are coming from, however this is by design. The names are meant to reflect the arrangement of panes, not the direction that they are split. Please see #15866 (comment) for more context.

Indeed, the pane orientation is wrong.

The horizontal pane is more wider than taller, the vertical pane is more taller than wider. The icons and text combination is misleading.

The positions are correct
Horizonal (left to right) is arranged

@Josh65-2201 You are not wrong, but the menu option is Add pane -> Horizontal pane. So I expect the new pane to be in landscape orientation. What you are describing in a horizontal SPLIT, not PANE.
In a horizontal SPLIT, you have two vertical PANES.
In a vertical SPLIT, you have two horizontal PANES.

So we either change the name to Horizontal Split, or Vertical Pane.

It could same something along the lines of "Add pane arranged horizontally", but that's a bit of a mouthful.

I guess I was wrong, but we did spend a while discussing it on Discord (Thanks @yaira2 )

We were discussing possible future abilities about adding more than two panes, and how you add a pane beside or below the current active pane.

In any case, we should rename the two options with something less confusing, that does not create ambiguity like they do today.

The menu is about where a pane is placed, not what shape it is.

Add pane ->

• [ | ] Add horizontally
• [--] Add vertically

Arrange panes ->

• [ | ] Arrange horizontally
• [--] Arrange vertically

For your example of Add, i agree, but for arrange is ambigous. I would have said that the arrange should be exactly vice-versa.
e.g. Arrange horizontally = Arrange them as two horizontal panes.

Also, the text currently is to Add -> Horizontal pane, which is wrong. It does NOT say Add horizontally, but Add Horizontal pane which is the opposite from what is doing. There is a difference between those too.
For me if you say Add horizontal pane = Add a pane in landscape orientation.

In my opinion, I think that using Split would be more clear and concise with no ambiguity.

As we consider keeping the two pane limit, I'm more in favor of this than before.
